On Tuesday 2nd August, Stuart McCallum (jazz tutor), Clare Morel (choir/singing tutor) and I visited Alder Hey, Liverpool to do a day of music with the young patients.
We visited the cardiac ward, neurology ward and a centre for patients requiring long term care, performing songs and encouraging the children to get involved with the music-making by playing percussion as members of the band.
The children we met were fantastic and often really keen to get involved. Stuart, Clare and I felt very lucky to have spent the day working with them.
