Exams

Exams are not compulsary at The Music Place but if you would like to work towards an exams, your teacher will be happy to help. The Music Place is an exam centre for ABRSM and ICMA, offering a wide range of exam opportunities.

We have ABRSM exam sessions three times a year. The board can examine students at all levels and has syllabuses for most classical instruments and voice. The Music Place can also prepare students for ABRSM theory exams and the new ABRSM Jazz exams.

The ICMA offers a more contemporary style of music examination. Music Place students can take exams in contemporary vocals and kit drumming. We have ICMA exam sessions at least once a year.
