Gary Culshaw
Jazz Course - Bass Tutor
A formative influence in the North West jazz scene, Gary has performed and recorded extensively over the last 30 years.
He has spent much time working with Nikki Iles (Emanon/Printmakers), Roy Powell (Some Other Country) and Mike Walker.
As a member of the Creative Jazz Orchestra, along with Mike and Iain, Gary has played with, amongst others, Kenny Wheeler, John Taylor and Anthony Braxton.
Alongside his work as a performer, Gary also has extensive teaching experience, including posts at the Leeds College of Music and the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.
