LUCY HOWELLS OWNER/MANAGER
After
graduating from university , Lucy toured Britain with her own band before turning
to music education full-time. The plans for The
Music Place were hatched shortly after Lucy moved to Altrincham
in 1996. After much deliberation and research, her vision began to take shape.
She wanted to get away from the stuffy, old-fashioned idea of music education.
To do this, she created an environment which merged the positive elements
of traditional music teaching with a more contemporary, exciting and inspirational
approach.
The school opened in September 1997 and continues to flourish. It is a product
of Lucy's energy, enthusiasm and intuition
