Stuart McCallum - Jazz Classes

Stuart is one of the most in demand guitarists in the UK today. As a member of the Cinematic Orchestra since 2004, Stuart has toured and performed internationally in addition to writing music for the band's critically acclaimed albums, "Ma Fleur" and "Live at The Royal Albert Hall". With the Cinematics, he has also performed alongside the London Metropolitan Orchestra and The Heritage Orchestra as well as headlining at The Big Chill music festival.

In 2007, Stuart was invited to take part in the PRSF artist development scheme, "Take Five". A week of workshops with UK saxophonist, John Surman, lead to a commission from the Manchester Jazz Festival for Stuart to write a suite of music to be performed by John and Stuart with a 10 piece chamber ensemble. The music was featured on BBC Radio's "Jazz on 3 - Best of 2010".

Stuart has performed and recorded with some of the most prominent jazz artists of today, including Kenny Wheeler, Mike Gibbs, Don Weller and Tim Garland and is currently working to promote his new album.
