Last week, the UK celebrated Volunteer Week 2019 and it got us thinking about the wonderful volunteers and carers at Vibrant Voices, and how much more we need to shout about how amazing they are! So here we go… OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE SO FANTASTIC AND WONDERFUL!

Vibrant Voices, which meets once a week at The Cinnamon Club, aims at offering a relaxed and enjoyable singing experience for those living with dementia and their carers. Taking our lead from the Alzheimers’ Society’s ‘Singing for the Brain’ campaign, we really believe that music can have a positive mental effect on people living with dementia and Alzheimers. There are so many moving parts which make Vibrant Voices a success- not least, the wonderful Clare Morel who runs the choir with such joy and enthusiasm each week. But without our volunteers and carers who give up their time every week, we’d be lost! So a big thank you to Bill, Barbara, Bev, Belinda, Cathy, Judith, Barbara and Judith!

” Our wonderful volunteers are so important as they make everyone feel welcome, they get to know all the choir members and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat with them each week. They also help with the running of the choir but the friendships they create with the members is what’s really special. We’re so grateful for their support and boundless enthusiasm. They’ve helped create many magical moments at Vibrant Voices! Thank you!” – Music Place Owner and Manager, Lucy.

Have a lovely week everyone!
