It’s beginning to look a lot like ch…oir are getting extremely busy again. Yes it’s coming up to that time of year again, and it’s always lovely and busy for our wonderful choir! So we thought we’d give you a quick rundown of all the exciting things they’ll be getting up to over the next couple of months. Get these dates in the diary, people!

On 10th November, the choir will be heading to the historic Victoria Baths to perform at the ‘Festive Winter Fair’; with fifty craft stalls, a tea room, circus performers , Father Christmas, and our amazing choir, it’s set to be a great start to the festive season! The Music Place Choir will be performing some absolute Christmas classics including ‘Must be Santa’ and ‘Merry Christmas Everyone.’ To find out more about the event, visit the Victoria Baths website: http://www.victoriabaths.org.uk/visit/2019/open-day-festive-winter-fair/ Our choir always appreciate the support of friendly faces so come along if you can, it’s sure to be a great day out for all the family.

For those who can’t make the winter fair, never fear! You can catch our choir in full force at the Altrincham Christmas Lights switch-on, Saturday 16th November. The lights switch-on is a really lovely way to begin the festive season, and is always a really special day for the community. This year, you can catch singer Lemar, CBeebies star Katy Ashworth and radio DJ Mike Toolan heading the bill!

As we move into December, our choir will take their festive cheer on the road once again as they travel to perform in care homes local to Altrincham and Trafford. We’ve also got our annual Christmas Choir Cracker to look forward to! Yes on 15th December, our choir will perform a set of festive tunes alongside a seven piece band. Also taking to the stage are the Little Belters, Teen Belters and Absolute Belters choirs and our fantastic Vibrant Voices Choir, for people living with dementia and their carers. It’s not to be missed!

On Thursday 19th December, there’ll be a spot of carol singing in King’s Court, all family and friends are welcome to come and join in! Everyone loves a good sing song, and King’s Court is the perfect place to have a drink and belt out the old classics.

Following the carol singing on 19th, members of the choir are invited to enjoy a special treat, a workshop with the incredible, Liane Carroll. Liane is one of the best jazz singers in the country and has been a pillar of the British jazz and soul scene for over thirty-five years. Prior to performing at The Cinnamon Club on 20th (getting tickets strongly advised… serious jazz amazingness on offer), members of the choir have the opportunity to soak up her wisdom in a special workshop.

The next couple of months are set to be fun filled and festive for our wonderful choir. We’re always welcoming new members so please get in touch if you want in on the action. The Music Place Choir is a friendly and warm environment to enjoy singing together. We meet every Wednesday at The Cinnamon Club and welcome all voice types.

Have a lovely week everyone!
