*7.30 onwards (Mon - Thurs): jam sessions
7.30 onwards (Fri): Final performance (including staff performance)

Instruments
will not be provided. Pianists should bring a keyboard
and stand, guitarists/bassists etc should also bring
amps and cables. All students should bring a music
stand. If anyone needs to borrow any equipment, please
call to arrange in advance – we will help where
we can.
*Attendance
of the evening jam session is not compulsory.

Fees for the course are £290 (incl. vat) which is due in full by the end of June 2009. Please

ADVANCED GUITAR LESSONS AND IMPROVISATION
We are very proud to announce that guitarist Mike Walker is also now teaching on a regular basis here at The Music Place.
Mike is a Salford born guitar player who has played and recorded with the legendary George Russell, peter Erskine, Steve Swallow, Kenny Wheeler, John Taylor and performed with Dave Holland, Tal Farlow, Vince Mendoza, Anthony Braxton, Bill frisell and many others. Mike plays regularly in the UK, Europe and around the world as well as teaching at the Liverpool Institute of the Performing Arts and is a co-director of our many jazz workshops.
Lessons with Mike cost £40 per hour (£20 per half hour) and take place on a Monday evening. Please contact the school for availability.
