Here they go again! Following their stunning performance last September, our wonderful Music Place Choir are set to take to the Harfest stage once again for their third consecutive year. This time, they’re taking a trip down memory lane, performing some feel-good eighties classics to wake you up before you go-go!

Our choir, which meets every Wednesday at The Cinnamon Club, welcomes all vocal ranges and abilities and offers a warm and welcoming opportunity for novices and seasoned pros to meet and enjoy singing together. For those who attended last year’s festival, the choir’s ‘Manchester Anthems’ performance was certainly a highlight, featuring Clint Boon and a cameo appearance from Bez from The Happy Mondays!  And with one hundred voices, a nine-piece band and three soloists, this year is set to bigger than ever. They’re going to rock the crowd…like a hurricane.

The Music Place Choir’s ‘Back To The Eighties’ performance will take place at 4pm on Sunday 22nd September and is free to watch. The festival will be raising funds for ‘Reverse Rett’, a UK medical research charity working to improve treatments for those living with Rett Syndrome.
